リヤドではメトロが通じたばかりなのですが、この使い勝手が素晴らしく、クレジットカードのタッチで乗れる。

デジタル画像での英語の表記も発音もあるので、観光客にも使いやすいです。

日本のJRやメトロやモノレールも、ごちゃごちゃと他の言語を入れずに、日本語と英語だけでいいので、もっとわかりやすくすればいいのに。

ああ、国土交通大臣が変わるので、改善されますね。

The metro system in Riyadh has just opened, and it’s incredibly convenient — you can simply tap your credit card to ride. The route map is beautifully designed, and the color-coded lines make it almost impossible to get on the wrong train. The digital displays also include English names and pronunciations, making it very tourist-friendly.
I wish Japan’s JR, metro, and monorail systems would simplify things too — just Japanese and English would be enough, without cluttering the signs with too many other languages. Ah, but since the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is changing, maybe we’ll see some improvements soon.
