米国は州ごとに所得税率が違い州消費税（Sales tax）も違います。

テキサスは州所得税ゼロ。カリフォルニアは高税率。

州はほぼ「小さな国家」ですが、日本も道州制、47都道府県を大きな「州」単位に再編し、より広い権限と財源を持つ地域自治体にして、納税者にも選択権を与えてほしい。

正直言って、小さな政府を望む人も多い。

In the United States, income tax rates vary by state, and state sales taxes differ as well. Texas has no state income tax, while California has relatively high tax rates. In many ways, each state functions almost like a “small nation.”

In Japan, I would like to see a regional bloc system introduced—reorganizing the 47 prefectures into larger “states” with broader authority and independent revenue sources, giving taxpayers greater choice as well.

To be honest, many people would prefer a smaller government.
